To and From Airport Information

For those who have been in contact with Sue regarding the bus picking up and returning to the airport on the 29th August and 1st September. When you arrive on the Thursday , the driver will be waiting at the arrivals gate in the arrivals lounge with a sign showing either the name Sue Govani or a Sun Transfers Sign. This bus will take you directly to the bus station in Estella, if you are staying elsewhere, the staff at the bus station will be able to help you order a taxi. Please note you will need euros in cash for a taxi.

For the return on Sunday 1st September, the same bus will be picking you up from the bus station in Estella at 4:55am. This will take you directly to Bilbao Airport for your flights.

Those who are getting from Allo and Dicastillo for the morning of 1st September to get to Estella for the bus, there will be a bus 'Autobuses Gurbindo' picking up at 4:15am in Allo from the bus stop outside the centro civico (google maps location below)

and from Dicastillo at 4:25am from the below location:

Bus to and from Wedding

There will be a bus (autobuses Gurbindo) collecting from Estella and Allo.

Collecting from Estella 11:30am at Estella Bus Station - https://maps.app.goo.gl/RGdKo8Pq9fE8daDV6

Collecting from Allo at 12pm by the bus stop outside Bar Restaurante Centro Cívico -

Return, the bus will be collecting from the wedding from 2am, the same bus will be dropping off in Estella and Allo but separately so check before you get on! If you would like to leave a bit earlier than that the venue can help with booking taxis, I would speak to the staff during the day to pre-book one as there are fiestas on in the village so it will be busy.

We look forward to seeing you all!

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

USEFUL INFORMATION

Is there a wedding gift list?
Please don't feel like you have to get us a gift, your gift to us is joining us on our special day! If you do wish to gift us something bigger than a card, please don't bring it to Spain as we are going on honeymoon after the wedding so would struggle to bring it back. We can always go for a coffee when we get back!

Will the accommodation be provided?
The accommodation will not be provided, but I have set up a page with information on where to fly to and what area to stay around with details on car hires and public transport.

Will there be vegan food?
If Ceinwen is reading this, you'll get a piece of lettuce. Joking, but if you do have any dietary requirements please let us know!

How do you pronounce the town the venue is in?

Dicastillo = Dee - cast - ee - yoh, you're welcome.

Is there parking?
There are a few parking spots outside the venue, as it's a tiny village, there isn't much of a parking lot but there will be spaces. Although, as the majority of you will be drinking... you can google local taxi firms from the town that you're staying!

How can we get to the venue?
For those of you that aren't staying in the village or near. We will be organising a bus to collect from the nearest towns where the majority of you will be staying, Pamplona, Estella and Allo. If you aren't staying in these places but would like to hop on, please let Isabel know and we can arrange something!

What is the dress code?
We don't have a dress code per se, the only requirements we have is for you to feel cool, comfortable and confident! Also, Sage green is our theme so please don't wear that colour!

Where to Stay!

The area you are looking to stay is anywhere near the village Dicastillo, which is where our venue is. If you put in Dicastillo into booking.com, airbnb.com or any other hotel or accommodation site you will find plenty of options. Obviously, before booking you may want to check the distance from the accommodation to Dicastillo incase it is too far. I have found a few places that are near and put them in the below links:

https://www.airbnb.co.uk/wishlists/v/1161393716?s=67&unique_share_id=c8fdb113-c408-4873-a583-777a31849ca9

A lot of the airbnbs and apartments near the venue all have a few bedrooms and sleep usually more than 4, so what we would advise to do is if you're traveling in a group then to stay in a place together to split the cost! If you are travelling on your own and would like to share with someone, please contact Isabel or Anisha and we can find a group for you!

Also, if you type in apartments/accommodation near Estella, Navarra. There are a lot of private websites that will have places to stay that aren't on Airbnb or Booking.com!

How to get there..

Right, it might look a bit long winded or scary to figure out how to get transport near to the village, it will be very straight forward, I promise!

The easiest way is to hire a car, again, I know it can scary scary to drive abroad. If you're feeling comfortable to do so, believe me when I say if you are flying to Bilbao it's about 10 minutes to get out of the city and then it is one straight road (no, seriously) to get to the area where the venue is. If you're traveling with a few people you could all get a car hire together and share the driving! It also gives you a lot of freedom to explore the area while you're out there. We would strongly advise to hire a car. Here are a few car hire sites that you can use:

https://www.sixt.co.uk/

https://www.europcar.co.uk/en-gb

https://www.holidayautos.com/?clientId=477141#/searchcars

https://www.avis.co.uk/

https://www.kayak.co.uk/Cheap-Bilbao-Car-Hire.22202.cars.ksp

https://www.rentalcars.com/en/airport/es/bio/

If you do not want to hire a car, there are plenty of bus routes from the airports down to Logroño or Estella and the buses are super cheap. You would then need to catch a taxi from Logroño to your accommodation and taxis are very reasonably priced over there, unlike the UK! The link for the bus companies are below:

https://www.rome2rio.com/map/Bilbao/Estella-Lizarra (if you're flying to Bilbao and staying near Estella)

Another option is you can get an airport transfer from the airport you're flying to, to your accommodation. Obviously again, if you're traveling in a group you might want to go in for a transfer together and split the cost. You can do this when booking your flight through your airline or having a look online for any airport transfer companies. Unfortunately, we don't know how much this will be as it will all depend on where you're flying to and where you're staying. Here are some links to companies that do private transfers:
